 On October 23rd, 2014, GELEXIMCO Group, one of the strategic partners of ABF, started constructing the project: Thang Long Thermal Power Plant.

Thang Long Thermal Power Plant is the largest private thermal power plant in Vietnam with a capacity of 02 x 310 MW, located in Hoanh Bo district, Quang Ninh province. The project has the total investment of nearly $1 billion and is guaranteed by the Government of Vietnam for foreign loans. The plant is expected to be built in 45 months, generate electricity in 2018, produce 3.6 billion kWh of electricity annually into the national grid, and bring the expected revenue up to about 6,000 billion VND.
